DJ Foreign Warren at Emo Nite Candyland

Emo Nite returned to Avalon Hollywood on May 2nd with a full-blown Candyland theme, and the entire venue felt like stepping into a sugary alternate universe where nostalgia and neon collided.

The night kicked off with an unexpected but entertaining opening set from DJ Foreign Warren, who leaned fully into the sweet theme. Instead of easing the crowd in with emo classics, he spun candy-themed hits like “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics and “Sugar” by Flo Rida, slowly filling the dance floor and building an anticipatory buzz as everyone waited for the emo onslaught to begin.

When the surprise guests finally took over, the room erupted. The night was jampacked of surprise guests. Ryan Scott of State Champs, Andrew Wetzel from Attack Attack!, and the rising band Paradox each hit the decks for high-energy DJ sets. They blended emo anthems with their own catalog deep-cuts and fan favorites, giving the night that perfect mix of nostalgia, chaos, and star-powered excitement that Emo Nite regulars crave.

By the end of the night, the crowd was sticky with sweat, glitter, and pure scene-kid joy—exactly what a Candyland-themed Emo Nite should be.
